Insurance Information

Dr. Leighty makes every effort to provide you with the finest surgical care in a compassionate and timely manner. We will assist you in maximizing your insurance reimbursement for covered procedures. If you have any problems or questions, please ask our staff. They are well informed and up-to-date. They can be reached by phone at (530.272.8871). Please call if you have any questions or concerns regarding your initial visit. Please bring your insurance information with you to the consultation.

Insurance billing efforts are made in good faith by our staff upon your behalf and are performed as a courtesy to you. Problems or disagreements concerning benefit definitions, limits, coverage, and other restrictions should be addressed with your plan administrator or agent.

If any balance remains following any applicable insurance portion, the balance is your responsibility. Please understand that we send statements on a monthly basis, but most insurance companies will respond within four to six weeks. Please call our office if your statement does not reflect your insurance payment within that time frame.

We do not submit pre-treatment estimates (which can require 4-6 weeks) unless requested by the responsible party. However, we will make efforts to obtain limited information by telephone from your insurance company to assist you.
